Kristie Estervig, M.M.


Kristie Estervig, M.M., is an active piano teacher, accompanist, and adjudicator in the Beaver Dam, Wisconsin area. She has taught private and group piano lessons since 1996. She excels in teaching students of all ages and abilities. Numerous students of Kristie have won local and state competitions. She has also mentored many students into successful music careers.


A native of Wisconsin, Kristie holds Master of Music Degrees in Piano Pedagogy and Piano Performance from UW-Madison. Past teachers include Dr. Jessica Johnson, Martha Fischer, Dr. Mary Tollefson, and Joyce Grill. Kristie was named Steinway National Piano Teacher of the Year in 2016 and 2018.


Kristie was the founder and owner of Arboretum Music School in 2003. She led the school through many expansions and great success for 20 years. In 2014, she was awarded Best Small Business in Dane County and received Congressional Recognition from Rep. Mark Pocan.


Kristie is currently part of the Wayland Academy Music Faculty. She is also an organist and piano teacher at St. Stephen’s Lutheran Church and School.


Kristie resides in Beaver Dam with her husband and three children.
